Movie Night: The Danish Girl
The Swiss Institute of Comparative Law and the “Film, Law and Society” present a special event “Movie Night”, on 31 May 2023, 16h00-20h00 Organized by Walter Stoffel, University of Fribourg (Switzerland), professor emeritus for economic and private international law, and Lucie Bader, film and media scholar, Berne (Switzerland), in cooperation with the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law (SICL). After the screening of the movie \"The Danish Girl\", a round table discussion will discuss about the movie : The law is constantly intervening in the search of our identities, including our gender identity. It protects them, but it also defines and regulates them. Is the law part of the solution for the Danish Girl’s plight, or part of the problem?
