At the invitation of Professor Andreas R Ziegler (Co-Director of the LLM International Business Law programme), Professor David Pavot will give a public lecture on"State involvement in the fight against doping in sports: Where do we stand 9 years after the 2014 Sochi Games scandal? " A cocktail reception will be held at the end of event.

Intervenants

David Pavot is a professor of international law and holds the research chair on anti-doping in sport at the University of Sherbrooke. He is also Director of the DESS in sport governance and anti-doping. His fields of expertise are public international law and sport law, with a particular interest in the protection of clean sport. He is the author of over 70 publications and his work is supported by research grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Fonds de recherches du Québec, the World Anti-Doping Agency and MITACS. He has chaired Rugby Canada\'s Ethics and Integrity Committee and is a member of WADA\'s Social Science Research Panel. He is vice-president of the Quebec Society of International Law and of the Canadian branch of ILA. He also acts as a consultant for various organizations, notably in the field of sport and international law, and is a regular media commentator.
